Competent Person The Competent Person course is designed for people that directly influence the fall protection program by implementing policies, supervising work, selecting equipment, taking corrective actions, and being a resource to others. This 24 hour course can be modified according to a Training Needs Assessment. This course is delivered on-site or on an open-enrollment basis. Link to Competent Person Description. The Competent Person / Trainer course is a combined course for people that have a dual-role of a competent person and trainer. There is a considerable amount of similarities with the content of these two roles so this course builds on the Competent Person material to include conducting training needs assessments and delivering site-specific fall protection training. Fall Protection Program Manager The Fall Protection Program Manager course is designed for people that do not work at height but are responsible for policy, compliance, budgeting or direction of the fall protection program. This course provides the direction and skill to identify gaps in the existing fall protection program and determine a course of action to assess fall hazards, identify people, and training. WAH Training & Membership Details
Several organizations use WAH to assist and manage their training programs and efforts. In consultation with WAH, a Needs Assessment of training is completed and organizations establish fall protection and rescue training content, Train-the-Trainer requirements, and a Continuing Education Plan. WAH creates a custom membership for the organization for which users, supervisors, and trainers education and certifications are created and tracked. |
